Faculty artists exhibition through March 9

January 22, 2014

The fine arts have been taught at IU Bloomington since 1865, when the Department of fine Arts was first established. Today, the Henry R. Hope School of Fine Arts (a school within the IU Bloomington College of Arts and Sciences) has 35 faculty  members in areas of instruction that range from painting and sculpture to digital art and graphic design.

Starting January 25 and continuing through March 9, 2014, the IU Art Museum will host a special exhibition devoted to work by Hope School of Fine Arts faculty. Featuring approximately 40 artists (both current and emeriti faculty), this exhibition will offer a survey of recent works in a wide range of media. An opening reception for the exhibition “Faculty Artists from IU’s Hope School of Fine Arts” will take place on Friday, January 24, 6–8PM, in the Thomas T. Solley Atrium, first floor.
