“IU Matters”: faculty focusing on timely issues

The third episode of IU Matters, a roundtable talk show taking up timely issues, airs this week. On the show, IU faculty talk with Anne Ryder, former WTHR news anchor and now an IU Media School senior lecturer. Students and staff from the Media School and WTIU, IU’s PBS television station, help to produce the show, along with Bruce Kopp, also a former WTHR news anchor and now a freelance producer.

The first two episodes of the show, featuring discussions of concussions and addictions research, are available online. The current episode focuses on race relations, with IU experts in history and education discussing issues of diversity, immigration, and race on campus and beyond. The episode also features an interview with Dan Wakefield, notable journalist and writer, who covered the Emmett Till murder trial in 1955.
