The Applied Research and Education Center (AREC) is a non-profit team of IU Southeast faculty and students that respond to requests from community and neighborhood-based organizations to research and solve complex social-ecological problems.
The AREC conducts studies, evaluations and needs assessments for agencies whose concerns include domestic violence, educational opportunities, workforce preparedness, housing needs, recreation and leisure opportunities, aging, transportation, childcare, and community growth and development.
