The Center for Studies of Law in Action is a self-supporting center associated with the Department of Criminal Justice. It was founded in 1970 to carry out research and has completed several influential studies. It has also conducted many conferences on a state, national, and global basis. Currently, it is specializing in matters of alcohol, drugs, and transportation, as well as alcohol problems in the workplace. The Center works closely with the National Safety Council and other national institutions.
