The primary objectives of the East Asian Studies Center are: 1) to promote, support, and coordinate research on East Asia, with a special emphasis on interdisciplinary research projects; 2) to promote, support, and coordinate instruction in East Asian Studies, with a special emphasis on the development of courses with an interdisciplinary focus; and 3) to administer outreach activities that bring the East Asian Studies resources of IU to constituencies in education, business, government, and the professions in Indiana and the Midwest.
