BIACUC Education and Training Links
The following instructions are for IU personnel only. If you or the person you wish to add to a protocol does not have an IU network ID (email address), please see BIACUC Education and Training Links for Non-IU Personnel.
Before any personnel may work in a lab with animals, they must complete the following requirements:
- IACUC Test: All project participants must take and pass the on-line IACUC test. Links for the test and the training module for the test are below.
- Occupational Health & Safety Program: All project participants must comply with campus Occupational Health and Safety Program for Personnel Working With Animals at IU by:
- reviewing the Occupational Health and Safety Program information (link below) AND
- deciding whether or not to participate in the health surveillance portion for the OHS program. Participants will be asked to verify this information as part of the IACUC test described in (1) above

PLEASE NOTE: Fullfillment of these requirements are necessary to work with animals, but they are not sufficient. No person may work in any animal laboratory until the PI of the lab has received official confimation from the BIACUC Administrator of committee approval.
